On Monday 18th January 2010 the governing body arranged for the statutory notice regarding a proposed change in category to be published. This information was published in the Western Mail, the school website and posted on the school gates.
The governing body has now written to the Minister for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills, Leighton Andrews, AM, outlining the case for a change in category. The Minister will determine the case within twelve weeks of the 19th March 2010. Cardiff Council has published its plans for the reorganisation of Whitchurch Schools. Three options went to public consultation concluded by Friday 18th December. The council published a fourth option on Thursday 11th February, which is currently being consulted on, with an original deadline of Friday 5th March, being extended an additional week to Friday 12th March.
