Euro-Dizzy with Delight
On Friday, 4th – Monday 7th March, the Welsh Department held a trip to the Disneyland Paris St.David’s Day festival for year 9 pupils. We travelled by coach and Eurotunnel to Paris and we stayed in a lovely hotel. The pupils had a wonderful time in the park, watching shows, parades and meeting the characters. On the first night we all went to an Italian restaurant for a meal and we even had Welsh flags and Welsh music playing in the background to make us feel at home.
The following day we witnessed Welsh themed floats where Mickey and Minnie looked sensational in their traditional Welsh costumes. Winners of the Urdd Eisteddfod performed on stage and we were proud of our Welsh heritage. Choirs sang Welsh hymns and daffodils and leeks adorned every corner.
We were fortunate that it was sunny and dry (but cold!) but no one seemed to care because we were all having a wonderful time exploring the rides. The bravest went on the terrifying “Tower of Terror” and “Phantom Manor” rides! Not for the faint hearted! Overall, the trip was a real success and enjoyed by both pupils and teachers!

Ymweliad yr adran Gymraeg i Eurodisney, Paris.
Ar ddydd Gwener 4ydd o Fawrth aeth yr Adran Gymraeg â 40 o ddisgyblion blwyddyn 9 ar daith i Eurodisney, Paris i ymweld â Wŷl Dewi Sant. Gwyl flynyddol yw hwn sydd yn dathlu Dydd Gwyl Dewi ym mharc Eurodisney. Ceir wahanol weithgareddau ac fe welsom ennillwyr Eisteddfod yr Urdd yn perfformio ar y llwyfan. Roedd côr yn canu emynau traddodiadol Cymreig ac roedd yn braf i weld cymaint o gennin Pedr yn addurno’r parc. Bu’r tywydd yn garedig ond er roedd hi’n oer nid oedd ots ganddom o gwbl. Roeddwn yn rhy frusur yn trefnu pa reids i fynd ar nesa. Bu rhai yn ddewr iawn wrth fentro ar “Tower of Terror” a “Phantom Manor”. Cafodd y disgyblion a’r athrawon oll hwyl pen i gamp. Taith gwych gyda naws Gymreig!
