Welsh Footballer of the Year

GARETH BALE has crowned a fantastic 12 months by being named Welsh Footballer of the Year.
Spurs star Bale has now firmly established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in the British game with his dashing displays on the left-wing or at left-back at White Hart Lane.
“He is a jewel for us and Tottenham," said Wales caretaker-boss Brian Flynn.
"I said he would be the best left-sided player in Europe before he was 23 and he’s certainly heading that way.”

Injured Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey was tonight named Young Player of the Year with Swansea City defender Ashley Williams picking up the Welsh Club Player of the Year award.
The Football Association of Wales also awarded long-service awards last night to former Wales defender Leighton Phillips - who won 58 caps between 1971 and 1981 - and Bangor City boss Neville Powell.
