Schools Against Racism 2010 Calendar & Poster Competition

On Wednesday 15th December 2010 Ethan Thomas 8R attended a special prize giving ceremony at Race Equality First, the Friary Centre where the Lord Mayor of Cardiff presented him with £150 for the School and a £50 voucher for himself.

The competition was to design a poster to promote racial equality. Entries of all different age groups were received from schools throughout Cardiff. Huw Jones-Williams, Head Teacher, and Mrs Ellen Heeney, Departmental Leader for Art, were delighted to attend and celebrate with Ethan and his parents his success.

Two years ago Ethan’s brother, Ieuan won the award.  The poster and calendar will now be distributed in council premises all over Cardiff.
