Rwanda Visited

Miss Edwards, Lower School Librarian, visited Rwanda between 15th October - 28th October 2010 after a tireless year of fundraising for the Rwandan Restored Charity.

Several forms in year 9 pay monthly to sponsor several children at the school for them to have an education and some future in the world.

During the year, Miss Edwards has organised cake sales, craft fairs, sponsored events and run a lunchtime sweet shop where all profits go to the charity.

After raising so much money, enough to purchase three laptops, several goats, medical supplies, mosquito nets, books, stationary etc, Geoff Lane, Director of Rwanda Restored invited her to Rwanda to personally give these items to the needy and meet the school children she organised to sponsor.

Miss Edwards would like to thank Mrs Thomas, Miss Thornton-Phillips and Mrs Smith for their continued support with the Rwandan Appeal and helping to raise funds via their form to sponsor children to gain an education in Rwanda.

Also thanks be given to all those who have donated to the appeal and time given in events held at school.
