National Schools 7s

The year 8 rugby team attended the National Schools 7s at the Richardson Evans fields on Wimbledon Common.  Against Dartford school, the boys raced to a 26-14 lead before conceding 2 tries in the last 2 minutes to go down 26-28.

In the 2nd game, Whitchurch found their form with a 45-0 win over Birchgrove.  In a winner takes all final pool match year 8 were level at 12-12 against Wilmslow only to go down 12-17 in the last minute.The coaches felt that the team could hold their heads high as they improved in every game against very tough opposition.

On the 2nd day, the team had a free morning and spent the time exploring the London eye, and Parliament Square before returning back down the M4.

Throughout the tour, the boys were a credit to themselves and the school.
