Meducation, Meducation, Meducation!
On 16th June 2011, our Year 12 medicine/healthcare applicants (and Mrs Thomas) were treated to a visit from two of Cardiff University’s 3rd year medical students.
Our students were given information about medical courses, admissions tests, personal statement writing, work experience and interview techniques, as well as gaining an insight into the social aspects of studying medicine.
Finally, pupils were shown how to take blood pressure, with hands-on demonstrations, and given the opportunity to ask a number of questions.
The talk was part of the Sixth Form Team’s series of events which are designed to support our students in all aspects of the university application process.
