Kayaking at the Bay

Wednesday 18th August 2010 several pupils of Whitchurch High School went to the Cardiff International White Water Centre at Cardiff Bay to enjoy a day of Kayaking under the direction of Nigel Midgley, National Development Officer for Canoe Wales.

Evie, Rhian, Maddie and Sam all took part along with students from other Cardiff Schools and enjoyed a day of Kayaking on the centre's lake learning all the skills and techniques needed to be an expert in the sport.

There was an opportunity for the pupils to go down the centre's course but as they were beginners, they thought it best to leave it until the next time.

A great day was had by all, and each of the students look forward to the next opportunity to use this excellent facility.
