D&T Challenge 2011

Congratulations to all students who took part in the 2011 Design challenge and exhibition. The students were asked to design and build a temporary shelter to be used in the event of a national disaster. Ten teams of year 9 students took part there were some fabulous structures made, an exceptional standard this year. Four reams of A3 paper were used along with 22 rolls of masking tape and over 2000 nuts and bolts! There were at least as many smiles the students obviously thoroughly enjoyed the event.

In addition we were delighted to welcome a good number of parents to the presentations and exhibition.

The Key stage winners for excellence in the D & T strands were:

D & T Graphic Products – Talia Keskin
