Cook Off 2011

On Wednesday 23rd March, 15 members of the School Nutrition Action Group (SNAG) took part in a school cook-off, to develop some recipes that could be included on the canteen menu. The pupils worked enthusiastically throughout the afternoon to produce some excellent dishes for the judging panel to sample. It was very competitive, as pupils wanted their dishes to be the ones that the school will enter for the competition against all Cardiff Schools.

All of the judges had their personal favourites, which made choosing four to take forward was a real challenge in itself. The winning dishes will not be published as yet, until the closing date for entries, but we will be putting forward a breakfast option, a snack option and a hot and cold meal of the day. Hopefully we have done enough to be chosen for the Cook Off in County Hall this year, against one other Cardiff school.
