Austria 2011
Friday 24th May 2011 saw forty pupils of Key Stage 3 travel to Austria to stay in the picturesque resort of Klopeiner See, in the province of Carinthia.
The party resided at Pension Unterburg within walking distance of the provinces famous lake where the pupils enjoyed swimming, boating and sun bathing in the very hot weather.
Throughout the week the pupils visited the many attractions of the area, Sommerrodelbahn Eberndorf a dry toboggan run that runs for over 1km, Walderlebniswelt a tree top adventure park and were lucky enough to travel down into Italy to visit the famous city of Venice.
Activities were laid on each evening and pupils got stuck into the challenges given – a treasure hunt around the lake, make an Avatar and Whitchurch Got Talent show!
