Friday the 14th May 2010 saw a fond farewell to our year 11 pupils who finished compulsory education to go on study leave in time for their GCSE exams. All 350 pupils packed out the Upper School Hall for a spectacular assembly where they were treated to musical numbers, amusing poems of their time in school and ‘Not the Nine O’clock News’ read by Mrs Craddock and Mrs Radford.
Awards where giving out to certain students, voted for by their peers that included: Most Likely to be famous, Most Sporty, Brainiest, Most Helpful and even some amusing awards that included: Most Orange, Biggest Flirt and Biggest Poser. The reaction of the crowd for each winner obviously showed the right people where picked for the award!
The assembly was closed by a video of the pupils, showing pictures of their journey through school from 2005 – 2010, this received voluptuous applause and all pupils went away with great spirit and good memories of Whitchurch High School.
All staff of Whitchurch High School want to wish all year 11 pupils good luck with their GCSE examinations and look forward to seeing them progress on successfully to whatever they have planned for next year.
