Rwandan Craft Fair

On Thursday 19th November, 8C and 8G held a craft fair in the Library on behalf of Rwanda Restored which is a charity created to ensure the children have an education by building, or improving, schools. The charity also relieves financial hardship by providing money for food, housing, clothes and social support for widows and orphans across Rwanda.

The fair was held during lunchtime and after school with many of the pupils still in school at 6.00p.m. Although it was extremely hard work, with many of 8C giving up their break and lunchtimes, the end result was well worthwhile. 8C also brought in cakes, many of which were homemade, and raised £46 from those alone.  The total money raised at the end of the day was!

A big “thank you” to all who attended and supported the fair in every way but most of all to the children without whom I’m sure the final, superb, amount raised would not have been so successful.

Just as an afterthought, Ms Edwards also did very well by initiating and surviving and the day.
