The annual Rotary Young Chef competition was held on Thursday 21st January for our Year 10 pupils. Four pupils competed, Amy Packham-Smith, Jenny Bearpark, Alexia Haralambos and Kane Latte.

The pupils had 2 hours to prepare and serve a 3 course meal for 2 people for under £14. This was the first time many of them had prepared a 3 course meal and the results were fantastic. From the table settings to the actual dishes, this years competition was of a very high standard. Not one of the meals would have looked out of place on a restaurant table.

It was a hard decision for the judges, but there had to be a winner. Jenny Bearpark was the runner up to a shocked Kane who won the competition. Congratulations to everyone who took part, and particular thanks to all of the parents who supported and assisted the pupils in their menu choices and on the evening itself.
