Mr Evans Runs the Paris Marathon

Sunday April 11th 2010 Mr Evans (Welsh Department) participated in the Paris Marathon with 31,000 other runners on the Champs Elysses to take up the challenge of running 26 miles 385 yards on the streets of Paris, a journey which would culminate in the beautiful surroundings of Avenue Foch.

There are many famous landmarks en route which included the Eiffel Tower, Vincennes, Les Tulieres and the River Seine which made the long run more enjoyable.

Mr Evans finished in a very satisfying time of 3 hours 15 minutes which placed him within the top 10% of the field. The months of hard training during the severe winter had finally come to fruition in the beautiful Paris sunshine.

Mr Evans ran the marathon for charity and managed to raise over £800 for Cancer Research UK.
