The school has again been granted re-accreditation for the Investors in People Award. This prestigious charter mark recognises that as an organisation the school manages its non-teaching and teaching staff in a fair and constructive way by investing in their training and recognising the good work they do.Moreover, the award testifies that every member of the school is aware not only of the aims and objectives of the school but the way they can have a voice in the decision –making process.
Investors in People is an independent organisation which works with all kinds of private companies, corporations and educational institutions to analyse how effectively they are managed, and how well all employees understand the structure of their organisation and the way they can progress by improving their job related skills.
Mr. Mel Davies the adjudicator interviewed 29 staff (teaching and non –teaching) over two days asking them a range of questions from the evaluation of training they had received to how effectively they believed they were managed. He is to recommend that WAG grant re-accreditation and commented that he was very impressed both by the many examples of good practice he found within the school and how positive and committed all the staff he interviewed were in discussing their role in maximising the potential of every pupil in our learning community.
