CAB Golden Award

Mrs Jackie Allen, support centre manager, together with Mr Huw Jones-Williams, Headteacher, were very pleased earlier in the term to attend the Cardiff Against Bullying annual awards ceremony at Cardiff Castle. The Awards were presented by Cllr Brian Griffiths Lord Mayor of Cardiff. Although taking no part in the judging it was a double treat to receive their award from The Lord Mayor who is a governor of the school.

Rebecca Bodger and Paul Turner were invited to represent our last year 9 Buddying initiative and they were delighted to accept a Gold Award on behalf of their fellow Buddies! The scheme ran for the whole of the academic year and after individual training the group delivered a programme of support and friendship to a number of vulnerable Year 7 pupils. The skills demonstrated by these young people were truly commendable – Well done to you all – worthy winners! We’re extremely proud of you all.
