Auntie Hendo visits WHS

It has been my pleasure over the past few months to facilitate a pilot project on behalf of The Substance Misuse and Education Service entitled “What do you know about alcohol?"

Together with twelve Year 10 pupils we spent six PHSE sessions exploring their understanding of and attitudes towards alcohol consumption. A particularly enjoyable session was when Auntie Hendo the Agony Aunt visited school for a question and answer session. Each pupil took a turn at being Auntie Hendo and much fun was had in the process.Initial feedback suggests that much was learnt from the sessions.
