All Locked Up

Members of 12K have recently completed a project to manufacture a money box with a secret mechanism to open it. Sam Sainty who made his box look like Bible said the project was excellent, Jack Love thought it was brilliant. Every member of the class thought that they had learned something new including using a marking gauge, cutting dovetail joints and a secret screw mechanism as a lock.

They all made their boxes of a good enough quality to be sold in a shop. Tom Mullin designed some graphics to go on the outside of his box to make it look like a book. Ieuan Sadler gave his box to his Mum as an early Christmas present. Bradley Lewis gave his box to his mum and dad, they thought it was perfect. Mark Ward designed his box as a present for Clara. Umar Siddique thought that the best bit was polishing his work to a high standard. Jack Love made his money box for his sister and she was so delighted she gave him a big hug as a thank you.

The class have just ordered kits to make Ipod players for their next project.
