The Kids Lit Quiz aims to motivate children and young people to read for pleasure and develop the habit of sustained reading by offering them irresistible reading challenges and enormous fun.

 

The 2008 Welsh Final of the Kids Lit Quiz was held Thursday 13^th November at Bishop of Llandaff High School. The team from Whitchurch consisted of James Barton (yr 7) Imran Fahiya, Patrick Robinson and Liam Sutherland (yr 8).

 

Howells A had opened up a four point lead going into the last round, but full marks on ‘Middle Earth’ for Whitchurch, while Howells apparently had never read the book, meant a 9 point swing and a third win in five years for our team, defending the title from last year.

 

This means another trip up to Newcastle this Friday, to contest the UK Final. It must now be almost the most successful team within the school, having been Welsh champions, and third placed finishers in the World Final.
