Hello and greetings to you all from a very hot and sunny Macassar, Cape Town, South Africa.

We are in Macassar from Thursday 12th February until Tuesday 24th February. Macassar High School is open during our half term! Our visit is funded by the British Council who sponsor such exchanges to encourage global citizenship  links. This is the second of our three year funded project. Last year Macassar teachers and students visited Whitchurch, and this year we are returning the compliment.

We thought, as a group, that we could send daily updates to our school website, updating you on the visit. This will allow you to experience the wonderful and ever developing links being created between our two schools.

Our group comprises, Mr. Huw Jones-Williams (Head Teacher), Mr. Alun Horgan (Music Teacher), Miss. Rachel Attwell (PE Teacher), Mr. Andrew Rooke (ICT Teacher) plus four sixth form students - Zulekha Lewis, Hannah Webb (Head Girl), Claire Nokes and David Bush.
