As part of our emotional literacy and Ks2/ 3 initiatives the D & T department ran a competition in conjunction with our primary feeder schools to design a badge to be worn by our new Y7 intake. The theme for this years competition was ‘Discover something new’ following one of the themes in the new Star curriculum that year 7 will be following this year.

The winning designs were chosen from each of the feeder schools by their respective school councils, the overall winner was then chosen by WHS school council. The winning design was manufactured by Brilliant Badges.

 

The competition was won this year by Elinor Philips of Birchgrove school.  Elinor along with the other winners from our feeder schools was presented with her prize in Y 7 assembly.
