Cardiff Council’s Whitchurch proposals “Just say No!” Whitchurch Governors

Consultation Period  Starts Friday 9th October    Ends Friday 18th December

“Yes to Foundation Status, it makes sense.” Whitchurch Governors

Consultation Period  Starts Monday 21st September   Ends Friday 13th November

Whitchurch governors are totally opposed to the current proposals, which would prevent 600 pupils being able to attend Whitchurch High School and see 25 to 30 staff made redundant.  A proposed reduced sized Whitchurch High School (12 form entry to 9 form entry) would affect the breadth and quality of curriculum and extra curricular provision at the school, and may impact upon Post 16 education such as the viability of the International Baccalaureate.  Furthermore the proposals do nothing to tackle the 8,000 surplus places across the County, as there are no surplus places at Whitchurch High School.

We realize that for many the easiest way to contact the governors may be by email. We would be pleased to hear of your views on the proposals for Whitchurch High School and hope that you will be able to share them with us and will not mind completing the simple form below. Please note any responses will not be eligible for consideration in any possible statutory consultation until such a consultation period has been defined and dates opened for submissions. We will post further guidance on this if needed.

Your views are important to us and we thank you for your anticipated response.
