Whitchurch High School received a standard four day
Estyn Inspection during the week beginning Monday 2nd March 2009.
The report was published on 5th May 2009.
“The
school is delighted that the inspection team found that, “
Whitchurch High School is a good school and is moving forward from
strength to strength.”
We
are very proud of our school and all it has to offer. As a twelve
form entry school we are pleased that the quality of curriculum
provision, care and support and value for money is recognised along
with many outstanding and innovative features.
We
are pleased that our wide ranging partnerships with our primary
partner schools, businesses, international and community links have
been recognised, giving an insight and engagement with others
further afield.
The
school will through its improvement plans, continue to further raise
standards and meet the individual needs and celebrate the talents of
all.
The
school welcomes the recommendations contained in the inspection
report and looks forward to continuing to work in partnership with
the Unitary Authority to resource the best educational provision for
our learners.
The
highly professional and engaged manner in which the inspection
process was conducted enabled the school and the inspection team to
work in a spirit of partnership throughout. The constructive
approach of the team and the feedback provided give clearly
identified steps to continue school improvement.

All parents will receive a summary copy of the Estyn
report distributed through pupil post. Hard copies of the report are
available on request but we would ask in the interest of the
environment that wherever possible web access is used.
The school has 45 days to produce a Post - Inspection
plan which will be posted on the school website. This will be
available at the end of the penultimate week of this Summer Term
2009. It will form part of the school’s annual school improvement
plan
