February half-term has passed, traditionally the mid-point in the school year and always a good time to reflect as well as looking forward. Our Year 11 pupils have been working on their Pre-Public Examinations and also thinking hard about the pathways they would like to follow in the years to come. Many have already made their options choices and we are beginning to build next year’s school timetable accordingly.  Recent weeks have seen the same process being undertaken by our Year 9 pupils in preparation for their Key Stage 4 studies.

The Autumn Term draws to a close and we have enjoyed and embraced the opportunity to celebrate Christmas here at school. In early December we held our annual carol concert and what a special event it was. Whitchurch High School's carol concert has a reputation for excellence which goes beyond the school itself and, having experienced it for the first time, I fully appreciate why.

6th November 2018

We have finished the first half-term of the school year and there is much to celebrate and much to anticipate in the months to come. I am delighted to be able to report high attendance rates across the school and especially in Years 7, 10 & 11 where recorded attendance which is at an 8 year high. Year 7's attendance figure of over 98% is particularly impressive. Given that so much of what we succeed in doing is achieved as a result, firstly, of turning up, this bodes well for the future indeed.

27th September 2018

The first month of the new school year is drawing to a close and there is plenty of good news to report. Firstly, our Year 7 pupils have settled exceptionally well into the life of Whitchurch High School; they are finding their way around the Lower School site, adapting to their new teachers and making new friends.
