The Biology department is well established, with a long history of success, both in formal public examinations and in motivating and interesting pupils.

Biology is taught as a separate discipline in Years 9 - 13 and as Biological Science within the Science programme in Years 7 and 8.

The accommodation comprises three well-equipped new laboratories (one with an interactive white board) on the Upper School site together with a demonstration lab. There is also a custom built laboratory in a demountable building, used for the teaching science to SEN classes. A computer suite is shared with Chemistry, Physics and IB level Computing.  On the Lower School site we have a well equipped room to teach Biology to Year 9 and two others to teach the biological component of an integrated science programme to Years 7 and 8.

An extensive range of practical equipment is available on both sites.
