Religious Education is about LIFE! It is a subject that should be relevant for pupils throughout the school. Our major aim, as teachers within the department, is to promote interest and enthusiasm for the subject matter through dynamic and innovative teaching.

The Syllabus content is non-denominational and is not designed to convert pupils or to promote a particular religion. We strive to Open the minds of pupils to the diversity of beliefs, traditions and cultures around them and to reflect upon their own responses to the world in which they live.

We believe that every student should have the opportunity to experience success in R.E. Creative writing, drama, art work, debates, project work, use of artifacts, television, outside speakers, group work and discussion therefore feature prominently in R.E lessons at Whitchurch thus enabling pupils to experience 'Learning For Life'
