After having been taught by Mrs Anthea Parker for seven consecutive years (a massive feat of endurance!), Lucy Wilson of Yr 13 forged a plan that would mean she would never be forgotten.

Throughout her time at Whitchurch, Lucy’s artistic skills were used for cartoon strips, project work, posters and examination revision notes in RE.

Her work has been “borrowed” by Mrs P to use in many other lessons as examples of original creative responses to assignments set. Lucy’s final project has been a magnificent mural painted in room 106 which is her legacy to the RE Department.

The painting exhibits themes studied at GCSE such as War and Peace, Life after death, Crime and punishment and the Media. The “grand opening” took place on Friday 13 July and was well attended by staff and pupils. Lucy has since left Whitchurch and we wish her well in her future studies.

The mural continues to be an overpowering influence in room 106. It looks like Mrs P will always have Lucy’s presence in her lessons!
