This year was another great success for our senior sports men and women and it again culminated in our annual senior sports dinner. This year a large number of pupils attended and it was excellent to be able to welcome the staff who helped with teams and members of the school senior management team to the evening. The guest speaker this year was Rob Howley (Southerndown cricket club 2 XI only please Mr Workman! Wales, Cardiff Blues, Wasps, British Lion and currently coach of the Welsh Triple Crown and Grand Slam Team).  

 

Rob gave an excellent talk and also did a question and answer session with the pupils and staff!, although the questions were seen first by Mr Morris!!!

The main prizes for Players Player of the year for 2008 were awarded to the following students:

U 16 Rugby – Elliot Jones

Boys Hockey – Patrick Mc Dowell

U 18 Football – Dafydd Russell Jones

 

I would like to thank all the pupils and staff for all their hard work over the year and the support from the school senior management.
