Year 7

In year 7 we aim to make our students more independent learners who are able to access the history curriculum through a variety of personalised approaches. During the course of the year our students will use many different learning approaches to help them understand our past.   Using the common themes adopted across the curriculum in Year 7 students will sometimes work in groups, sometimes in pairs and sometimes independently to learn about the past. This approach will allow our students to understand that the skills used in History can also be used effectively across the curriculum.   By using research skills, reading widely, using ICT,  writing skills and working with others they will develop an understanding of History which will stand them in good stead for KS3 and beyond.
