Astronomy is one of the oldest of the sciences. It has had a significant influence on cultural development throughout the world and astronomical ideas permeate everyday life.

The GCSE course is run by the Edexel examination board and provides progression from the National Curriculum Key Stage 3 programme of study in the core subjects. Its curriculum compliments GCSE Science and AS Physics courses which makes it ideal for Key Stage 4 or even  post 16 students.
